Witnessing domestic violence can have profound and lasting effects on children, impacting their emotional, social, and cognitive development and their relationships. Strengths-based initiatives that center on children and youths’ resiliency play a crucial role in providing support to mitigate the negative impact of exposure to violence, by fostering healing and resilience in children while working towards breaking the cycle of violence within families and communities.

Grantees who are funded within this program create and implement meaningful services and training that support children exposed to domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking, so that children and youth can thrive and reach their full potential.
